Game Overview

In Wonders of The First, players are Stoneseekers – powerful beings who control the fate of the Orbitals. They summon fighting units called Wonders. Players play Wonders into 7 realms to battle and gain control of stones. The player who controls the most stones at the end of round 7 wins the game.

  • Players battle to conquer 7 realms, each representing a key location in the cosmic struggle.
  • The game starts with 1 realm unlocked.
  • A new realm unlocks with each round.

  • Energy is used to pay the costs of cards.
  • Actions are used to attack, draw, and play cards.
  • Each player gets 3 actions each round.
  • Card abilities can generate more energy and actions.

  • LANDS – links to power sources.
  • ITEMS – equipment & continuous effects.

Keyword Abilities

KEYWORD ABILITIES

  • 16 keyword abilities are distributed among cards throughout the 6 Orbitals. A few examples:
  • FLYING – When this attacks, you may move it to an adjacent realm.
  • DENY 3 – Choose a deck and put the top 3 cards into the Abyss.
  • ASCEND – On round 7, gain a power-up or ability.
Deckbuilding

DECKBUILDING

  • Decks have 50 cards.
  • Each deck can have 3 of each Secondary, 2 of each Primary, and 1 of each Legendary card.
  • Decks can have any mix of card types and Orbitals.
  • Deckbuilders can add up the Build Points of all the cards in a deck to get a Deck Point value, used for tabletop matchmaking.
