Wonders of The First: Origins Pt. 1/5 – The Formless Stones

Greetings Stoneseekers! Thanks for your continued support. We appreciate the positive energy and feedback we are seeing from the community! Many of you have been asking for a sneak peek into lore and today we are excited to kick off a five-part series around the origins of the stones. 

The Formless Stones are said to grant the wielder unlimited power or utter annihilation. Legend has it that the stones contain the souls of seven ancient warriors who were granted godlike powers for their valor in shielding the universe from the desolation of The Void. It is also said their newfound omnipotence ignited a reign of terror that history had never seen before—or since. 

Those warriors’ virtues were eclipsed by the darkness of their deeds. In time, the very energies of their Orbitals began to rebel against them, a cosmic retribution for their crimes. It was then that they became known as the First Forms, their essences ensnared within the heart of crystalline prisons by the original Formweaver, a hero whose intervention marked the end of an era. 

Where Formless Energy, the lifeblood of all existence, ceased to flow as freely as before the ethereal glow of the skies themselves grew dim. The land, abundant with the various hues of enchanted flora and fauna, turned mundane. Civilizations that had thrived under the protective and nurturing power of the weave found themselves grappling with a new reality. Without the guidance of The First or the power trapped in the stones, societies turned to technology and innovation.
